Do you ever think about what Independence day really means? No, it’s not about buying fire works and annoying your neighbors all night. It isn’t about grilling every piece of poultry you can find in the bottom of your freezer. Although there isn’t anything wrong with the way once may celebrate it, but the meaning goes deeper than we can imagine.
It is the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. Although I didn’t live pre independence , often times I think about the people who suffered for us to have our independence .
While enjoying this day celebrating through parades, cook outs, fire works or just a quiet day at home watching Netflix. Think about how blessed you are to live in the United States of America!
Have a safe July 4th.
You should have a completely unplugged wedding. There shouldn’t be anyone with an electronic device with the exception of the hired photographers/ Videographers.
Top 10 reasons why the bride and groom shouldn’t allow camera phones, iPads and any camera devices at the wedding:

Do wedding photos have to be so blah? I guess it depends on the personality of the bride and groom. It’s doesn’t have to be that classic church pulpit lineup. Sure, get all of the traditional couples shots. Get the ring shot, the bouquet and the first look to name a few.
Now get outside and have some fun. As a photographer you want to look for unusual places to shoot. Theses places are picturesque and will bring attention to your album or wall images.
Be playful and have fun. This is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life. You’ve planned this event a year in advance and now it’s time to shine.
A night image is awesome! You have the lighting from the skyscrapers and the beautiful hues. All eyes are on you!
Most people choose to wear black work out clothes. Especially men it is a safe choice. Black workout clothes can camouflage sweat stains too. Yuk! However, did you know black workout clothes has a lower motivation rate? Don’t get me wrong everyone looks great in black. Larger people will look much slender and smaller people will lose their shape in all of that black.
Black is what people wear to funerals. Try getting more vibrant colors. They have a tendency to motivate you to go to the gym or be seen outside working out. If you look good you’ll want to workout!
Wear what works for your body type:
Those who are not confident about their body images should look for workout clothes that provide good coverage. A short-sleeved shirt and mid-thigh-length shorts with a relaxed (but not oversized) fit are a good choice for men and women. Heavier people may experience leg chafing while working out, but wearing compression or bicycle-type shorts under a looser pair of shorts will eliminate this problem. You can wear the bikers in a nice bright color under the (black) lose fitting shorts. Go against the grain a little. It will make you feel good!
After all, workout clothes serve both a practical and a psychological purpose. “On a practical level, you need special workout clothes simply because street clothes are either too constricting, they aren’t made from breathable fibers, but psychologically, you need special workout gear to convince yourself it’s time to work out. Since you have to get sweaty and dirty, you may as well look good.
Atlanta is an awesome place. It is full of diversity and culture. There is so much to photograph for tourist. It sounds like cliche today, but everyone likes to get a shot of the Atlanta famous skyline image. It’s a film and tv landmark. You can’t visit Atlanta without getting the picture. It proves you’ve been to see Atlanta. Well, I won’t go that far!
There are so many versions of this image on Google. The fun is in getting your own. Plus you don’t want to face copyright infringements, do you? Get your tripod if you want to blur the cars on the highway or take long shots at night. There is no right or wrong . It is all up to you.
Atlanta was once known as the city of terminus, because it served as the end of the Georgia rail road line. I thought that was pretty cool history. I try to bring a little known fact to most of my blogs. I hope you like that.
Back to the fun stuff. I went out one morning to shoot the skyline in Atlanta. It actually finished raining as I was heading to get the shot. I’ll disclose this is my second time taking a trip to shoot the skyline and probably will not be my last. The first time I used a 50mm prime lens to get the shot. This time I used a kit lens, 18-55mm. For those of you who are still using the kits lens, there is hope for you. Don’t let anyone tell you, it will not work with a kit lens. You’ll bring a different perspective to the table. You must know you camera and how far you can push it. It’s all about knowledge .
It was an over cast sky. I should have used a smaller aperture. I used f/10. The clouds looked like smoke moving through the buildings. Like it or not , I brought a different perspective . The best part of it all was the outing with my family and I own the image.
